We produce our Sangiovese from a variety of clonal selections, enhancing the complexity of the finished wine. Deep and profound, almost brooding, our 2016 Sangiovese offers a broad spectrum of flavors including cherry, strawberry-rhubarb and blueberry, with mocha and a hint of sage on the pleasantly lingering finish.
Intensely colored and vibrant, this wine is bursting with wonderful aromas of black cherry and plum and are supported by notes of espresso grounds, cigar box, cedar, tobacco and mocha.
A deep, vibrant crimson, this wine is dark and brooding, with a captivating nose offering notes of blackberry, black cherry and pomegranate, with hints of coffee and exotic spices.
As the only Aglianico produced in the Napa Valley, this wine has a captivating nose that offers notes of blueberry, huckleberry, rhubarb, baked fruit and exotic spices such as nutmeg and mace. It is tightly knit with notes of dark chocolate and brambly dark red fruit. The mouthcoating tannins lead to a long, sanguine finish.
Our latest Aglianico displays big, expansive flavors of dark chocolate, black fruits and cedar. It is satisfyingly savory with a big hit of umami. Intense and mouthcoating, it is dark and somewhat enigmatic, with hints of smoke and dried rose petals. Approachable now, the wine will display even greater complexity after a few years in the bottle.
Crafted from the famed Collins Holystone Vineyard right next door. The wine is a beautiful deep garnet. The aromas are lovely, with a mingling of black raspberry, black cherry, blueberry, sandalwood, vanilla and cedar.
Blackish red in color, our Sagrantino displays enticing aromas of mysterious spices, black fruits, exotic fruits, and a hint of the forest. This wine has a massive structure and huge tannins that are tight, but not aggressive. On the palate, it delivers flavors of black plum, blackberry, black cherry, dragon fruit and a hint of star fruit, along with cedar and roasted coffee.
Deeply colored and vibrantly aromatic, this intriguing and complex wine offers aromas of vanilla, blackberry, blackcurrant, spice box, and rich espresso. It is tight in its youth, but shows a wonderful, grippy texture on the palate. It is long and smooth on the palate, with a savory character and ample tannins which provide structure to pair with hearty and savory foods.
Sorridente means “smiling” and that is what we do while assembling this blend. Once the component wines have settled in the cellar to reveal their character, we select the brightest, cheeriest barrels from each lot and make many trial blends until we find the one that will leave a smile on your face.
