bASH is an expanded public event, celebrating St. Helena and its tradition of fine wine and great food. It is a food and wine pairing competition! Attendees get to taste a wide range of wines from 35 St. Helena Appellation wineries. Food and wine pairings are created by St. Helena restaurants including Archetype, Goose & Gander, Press, Meadowood Grill, The Farmer and the Fox, St. Helena caterers, in-house winery chefs, as well as by 25 student chef teams from the Culinary Institute of America.
This year, Benessere Vineyards teamed up with CIA students Jesse Broerman & Patrick Sheehy to pair our 2012 Phenomenon with "Duck Mousseline" with rubharb & beet glaze, sprinkled with pistachios! (recipe forthcoming)
We received a 4th place award out of 23 CIA teams. Thank you, chefs!
