Our Pinot Grigio comes from two vineyards on the Napa side of Carneros.  Cool days and an extended 2011 season in this district on the Bay produced tart, spicy, slightly pink grapes with intense perfume and flavor.  On three foggy mornings in late September, the fruit was hand-picked, sorted to remove unsound berries and whole-cluster pressed.

It has spicy, floral and mineral aromas with zesty citrus and nectarine flavors.  Refreshing tartness gives way to soft middle texture and a tangy but delicate finish.
