Sagrantino is a garnet red Italian varietal with a faint scent of violet petals, an aroma & bouquet reminiscent of blackberries.  When you experience the wine, close your eyes and it will transport you to the Roman Times.  Be prepared to be surprised with its tannins, they will take possession of your pallet in a very elegant way.
