The 2019 growing season was a roller coaster that kept us on our toes, but resulted in beautiful wines. Spring precipitation persisted through bloom and berry set, but the weather had little impact on our yields. As summer progressed, our typical heat spikes failed to appear, allowing berry flavors to develop slowly, and leading to one of our longest harvests on record. We picked at optimal ripeness and are thrilled with our young wines.
The four varieties were hand-picked and fermented separately with gentle fermentation techniques resulting in wine of great depth and complexity. We selected the finest barrels of each lot to create the Phenomenon blend. The wine matured for 20 months in new and once-used French oak barrels before bottling.
This is a beautiful wine from the aromatic start to the seemingly endless finish. It beguiles with aromas of blue and black fruit and hints of violets and roses. On the palate it is sumptuously textured. The floral and fruit characters are joined by hints of espresso and dark chocolate, as well as savory notes of cedar and a hint of black olive.

Enjoy this wine with grilled meats and vegetables, or with a slow-cooked pork shoulder. It would also be delicious with a Napoletano-style pizza with your favorite toppings.
